TERRORISM

The threat of terrorism has grown to be an international concern. Regardless of international relations, there seems to be no place safe enough from the grasps of terrorists. Since the tragedy of 9/11, people just don’t feel the security they to expect. Terrorists can penetrate deep into crowded areas, and set off an explosive. The casualties these attacks is usually massive, and devastating. Then after they wreck havoc, that’s the only time they set their demands and announce their purpose. The method of demonstrating death, before the innocent can ever have a chance, is obviously not the most favorable way of turning all eyes on them, and putting all nations under high alert. They operate so rampantly and mobilize their plans in a way, that its already in a form of warfare. Unconventional and illegal warfare, that is. As of the moment, they seem already above the law. And people beyond the boundaries of distributed power is certainly a global threat.

Although countries have formed counter-terrorist units, strategies, and declaration of all-out war against terrorism, these mass killers always gets to slip under the government’s noses, and pull off another death stunt. They operate like ghosts that do whenever, and whatever act of terror they plan to do. The worst thing about it is, they usually target the helpless, and not the people they really oppose. It’s sad knowing, that they have already spilled a lot of innocent blood, and it’s the wrong blood that is being put to waste.

Terrorist acts do not only kill the citizens of a country, but they also affect the hard foundations a nation is standing on. The threat of an attack has sent foreign investors scurrying away from signing contracts, and investing in what a country has to offer. And a nation without a steady income from these investors, would experience a decline in financial resources, and would eventually affect the strength of the country, both locally, and internationally.

But it is not only money that these terrorists are depriving a nation of. For me, the worst effect of terrorism is the loss of trust of the nation’s citizens to their government. If the government cannot provide them their security, to let them stand free from worries and safe from these attacks, then to whom would the people seek protection from? And that is what the terrorists want these people to do. Because you can make a man struck with fear do whatever you wish. People would embrace different idealisms and methods that would favor them, degrading the government and ensuring chaos, and the nullification of the government’s control. Then these terror fiends can step up, and claim the lost throne for themselves.

People should feel that they are safe and protected from terror. People should have the chance to live life, and make decisions on things without the intervention of madmen. That is why we need to take full action against these threats. We must stand to what is indeed a must, and crush this problem not just for the country, but for the benefit of ourselves and all following life.
If other countries would spend time and effort in fighting these terrorists, why shouldn’t we? We’re in the same situation as theirs, and we certainly need to be in the same progress that they are attaining. The last thing we need is lost structures, lives, and the added decline in investors in the country. Declare war and destroy what shouldn’t exist. Save the people from useless deaths and bring fear back to whom it came from. We are at dark times indeed. Where sympathy is at its loss and violence knocks on your front door. We must resort to radical methods to disintegrate these extremists.

With the combined might of the military, and the all-out support of the citizens, these misled people will find and know their place if they continue to go on with their ways. If the military has got our backs, and if we would support them in doing so, then we can pretty much consider ourselves united. United in the sense of power and strength not just in numbers, but in morale. We all know, that a nation that is far from being divided, and formed through unity is strong enough to face whatever adversity they would come across. That is what we need, what we must do, and the only proven effective way in destroying an opposing force. Only then can the children of our nations sleep in peace, and only then can we say that no one is above the law.

There's a typo in one of the first few sentences. I forgot to put the word "used". Excuse me for that.

Cecil's idea is practical because the government really needs the support of the people. They must have the cooperation of the people to succeed in eliminating or scaring the terrorist. The government needs the people to have the upperhand in the war.

Pol's idea is true, that government cannot only work on its own but they also need teh support of the community, not in the financial support but support from the way the people are cooperating to the government.

Pol is right, the government can not

work alone, the people in the country

also needs to support them. If people

of the country will cooperate with

the government, i guess the terrorist

will be gone by now.

As we all know, the government cannot work itself. The government must cooperate with there people to abolish the terrorist.

the content of the proposed solution is dealing more on the natinal level...like being united as a country and so on...it seems to be good, but I think the dicussion of the solutions in the local level would be a great help...

the content of the blog is good. the solution are well explained and convincing.and the idea about that we can solve problems in our government by unity and cooperation is also good.

The content of your article is very good. It could certainly get the reader's interest. I couldn't agree with you more, the government needs the people's support and cooperation in order to stop terrorism. Your solutions were well explained.
