Energy Crisis[Final]

As of today, all of the people in the world are suffering from energy crisis. Energy crisis is the scarcity in the supply of energy resources. We depend so much on oil and now we are threatened by the rapid increase of the price and demand of oil because of insufficient resources.

One of the major causes that we may consider regarding the scarcity in the supply of energy is its availability. As an example, the oil depletion that we are already experiencing is caused by the insufficient resources of oil and the very high demand on it. Another cause that we consider is the abusive use of the available energy. Energy is limited, thus, wasting such limited energy is a very big “no-no”. Another cause would be the too much dependence on a single source of energy. We have to explore to discover new things that will help us cope up with the kind of world that we are living nowadays, especially now that we have been experiencing rapid changes not only in the society but also to the whole world.

Energy crisis widely affects everything that we need to sustain our way of living. Since the resources of oil is already depleting and we demand so much of it, we are now facing many problems such as the rapid increase on the prices of almost everything starting from the price of oil to the transportation fares and up to the prices of consumer goods which we need everyday.

When the prices are high, we try to lessen everything down just to budget all that we have earned with the high prices of everything, thus, creating a very fast and bad chain reactions.

Unemployment also happens because some of the companies that manufacture the consumer goods that we opt to lessen shut down because of bankruptcy. When the number of unemployed individuals increases, some of them do some disturbing crimes such as robbery and kidnapping just to earn something for them to sustain their way of living.

Today, there are many possible solutions to “end” this energy crisis. One of those solutions is the use of wind turbines which converts wind energy to a useful form such as electricity. The discovery of using wind turbines is very helpful since wind energy is copious and it is renewable.

Another source of energy that is being used is the sun. Solar energy is the use of radiant energy from the sun. It uses solar cells to harness solar power then converts it to electricity. However, a piece of solar cell costs about $1,206. Since a single solar cell won’t be able to create enough energy to power a single house, a person must buy several solar cells just to produce enough energy for his house and it is not easy to look for money nowadays so it is somewhat hard to attain.
Many bad effects may happen if the energy crises that we are facing today worsen. Some may experience malnutrition because they cannot afford to buy food which is considered as a consumer good. Unemployment is likely to happen. Our security may also be affected since some of the jobless people are forced to do disturbing crimes just to earn a living.

So you see it needs to be solved because we are so dependent on it that it affects everything that has to do with our daily life. We already suffered some of the consequences, and we know that we don’t want everything to happen again. So let’s start doing something right. We should not depend on just the use of crude oil but we should also look at a new perspective. We should look for other sources of energy. We need to value everything that we have right now for the future use. We must not waste anything, because everything is connected in every way. Let us always remember that for every decision that a person makes widely affect the lives of the people who surround him. Let us be reminded of the consequences that may happen, and some of the verdicts that many of the people who surround us had faced already and may happen.
